Today we're shining our #seniorspotlight on Star Gerhart. Post-High School Plans: Take a gap year, but then attend SWTC for Accounting. Favorite High School Memory: From my freshman to junior years, I had the pleasure of getting to attend HHS with my friends. I was not in the best state of mind, but they carried me through it all the way. I can't think of a favorite memory, honestly, but they were undoubtedly there for it. Advice to Underclassmen: Fix habits before you ingrain them and have to deal with the consequences afterwards. Even if you succeed with them, something is going to catch up to you. I'm a hypocrite, do better than me. Congratulations, Star! We are so proud of you and wish you the best!

Students in grades 5-11: Upland Hills Health will be providing sports physicals at school on July 17 & 19. The cost is $20.00. Check the newsletter, our website, or with the office for times. It’s a great opportunity to get this taken care of before sports begin in the fall. The Scholastic Book Fair is here! There are so many NEW books to choose from and the choice is all yours. Favorite High School Memory: I don't remember when this happened, but my favorite/most life-changing memory is when I started to open up to other people and begin talking to them a lot more. Because, for the longest time, I was always the silent person. That marked an important stage of my life: having a healthy social life and thoroughly enjoying the company of others. Advice to Underclassmen: Choose your friends carefully. You don't want people that criticize you or take you for granted. And the only thing more important than a good support system is staying dedicated to pursuing your interests. Let nothing get between you and who and what you love. Congratulations, Karl!
