THANK YOU! Senior Maya Tarrell would like to thank the Highland Lions Club, Fillback Ford, and the Highland Booster Club for their recent generous donations toward her senior exit project. Maya has created a Story Walk project! Story Walks encourage reading as well as physical activity. Two Story Walks were completed this fall and were placed on school grounds for students and families to enjoy. Thanks to the newest donations, Maya will be able to provide several additional Story Walks this spring. Here is a sneak peek of the new books for the spring!

To Darlington and Highland Communities, My name is Malayna Fredericks and I am a senior at Highland High School. As a part of my Senior Exit Project, I am raising money for Hodgkin's Lymphoma awareness in honor of the late Aaron Lancaster. Mr. Lancaster was a teacher, guidance counselor, and a coach at Highland for 10 years, as well as a graduate, a principal, and a community member of the Darlington Community. All money raised will be donated to the Iowa County Cancer Coalition in Mr. Lancaster’s name. On Saturday, January 15th, the Varsity girls and boys basketball teams will be playing a double-header in Highland and will wear the Hodgkin’s Lymphoma awareness t-shirts during warmups.
