𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, today if the official start of a week of fun and tradition! Please take a minute to 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 about appropriate Homecoming etiquette.
We W A N T our students to have fun! Sneaking around town to paint Highland white with TP is expected and one of the many highlights of the week.
Please remind your children to keep it CLEAN fun. Eggs, syrup, honey, flour, shaving cream, silly string, or anything else that can damage property or cause injury must stay home.
Homecoming week in Highland is exciting, especially in the moments leading up to it for our students. Generations of Cardinals celebrate it, alumni come home, Main Street fills for the parade, and our community comes together to support on school.
Let’s have fun, make memories, and respect our community so these traditions can continue for generations to come.

Over the years, Maria has become a legendary fixture on the sidelines and a respected pillar of our athletic community. Her knowledge, experience, and commitment have helped shape the culture of our long-standing, successful volleyball program.
Coach Wineski has influenced generations of athletes, helping develop not only their skills on the court, but their character, confidence, work ethic, and love for the game. Her impact extends far beyond the scoreboard.
Highland is incredibly fortunate to have such longevity on our coaching staff, and that consistency is an important part of Cardinal athletics' tradition and success.
We are so grateful that Coach Wineski is part of that tradition and proud to celebrate this incredible milestone with her.

Our second graders were introduced to an inspiring historical figure this week: Norman Borlaug of Cresco, Iowa.
Known as the “Father of the Green Revolution,” Borlaug developed wheat varieties that increased yields and resisted disease, helping feed a growing world population. His work is credited with saving up to a billion lives, and he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1970.
What an incredible opportunity for our students to learn how one person’s work can make a lasting impact on the world! 🌎

The third Friday of the school year is the official student count date used by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction to help determine school funding. Every student counts, and every student makes a difference!
