As the number of days we have with the class of 2021 dwindle, we want to take a moment to recognize each student and highlight their future plans. We have no doubt this group will go on to do great things. It has been our honor to serve each and every one of you for the past 12+ years.

Did you know it's also Nurse's Appreciation week this week? Nurse Sharon has had her work cut out for her over the past year to stay current on ever-changing COVID protocols. Her dedication, attention to detail, and thoroughness have been a critical asset for helping us stay in the school building for most of the year! Thank you for everything you do to keep us safe!

We couldn't let the week get away without acknowledging our teaching staff and all of the work they've done over the past year that is above and beyond what is asked of them in a "normal year." The ongoing pandemic has been challenging in so many ways, but through all of the hardships our teachers continued to show up for our students and find new ways to bring light back into the eyes of our students. The masks may cover all of the smiles we love seeing so much, but we can still feel the special bond so many of our students have with teachers. It's that bond that makes our Highland staff so special. We value and appreciate each and every one of you!
If you haven't taken time to thank a teacher yet this week, we encourage you to take a moment and reach out! A simple handwritten letter will make their day!
