This special day is quickly becoming a student favorite as elementary students proudly invite grandparents from miles around to join them at school for breakfast. Congratulations to sophomore Rachel Miller for being recognized by the Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association as one of the best volleyball athletes in the state! High school students who plan on wrestling need to attend an informational meeting with their parents either tonight at IG or tomorrow night here in Highland. Both meetings begin at 5:30pm in their respective commons and will cover the same information; there is only a need to attend one.

Highland Elementary students enjoyed exploring STEM activities at the 2nd annual STEM night hosted here in Highland in conjunction with UW-Platteville students. The UW-Platteville students are enrolled in the Key Concepts and Characteristics, a Middle Level Education course, taught by Dr. Jodean Grunow, senior lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and academic staff member in the School of Education at UW-Platteville. We are honored to continue this partnership and excited to see our elementary students show interest in STEM fields. The middle school is looking for "new or gently used items to add to our Christmas Store collection. The Store will be open for gift buying, to the Elementary students December 12th and 13th . If you have items to donate to the store they can be dropped off at the main office from now until the 11th. Thank you in advance for helping to keep this Christmas tradition alive for our Highland Community!

NEWS BULLETIN November 5, 2019 In recognition of Epilepsy Month we are asking students and staff to wear purple on Thursday. Any MS students who had a picture retake can stop in the office and pick up your pictures. MS Wrestlers and Girls basketball players: Make sure you have all of your forms turned in this morning so you are able to practice after school. FB players, FB evaluations are tomorrow. Juniors, 8 am, soph, 8:45-9:45, Freshmen, 3:30-5:00. Any questions, please contact Coach Aide. Any changes due to the weather, Coach Aide will contact you. Any HS Students who have any interest in being on the mock trial team should meet in Mr. Scanlan’s room at 3:15 today. This is an informational meeting. Today is the last day to sign up for the Unity Club.

NEWS BULLETIN November 1, 2019 As part of her senior project, Grace Pustina is creating a Unity club to promote school wide unity and inclusion. Members of the club will play ice breakers, get to know more about each other, and even attend a field trip in February. High school students can sign up for the unity club on the signs posted in the hallway. The club will host their first meeting in Mr. Campbell’s room on November 8th at 3:00. All are welcome. The Highland Community Play presents “Is There a Martian in the House?” Performances are tonight and Saturday at 7:00 pm and the cost is $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for MS/HS students and $1.00 for elementary.
