Our 6th graders are diving into the world of cells! This week, students learned how microscopes work and explored different types of cells up close. They discovered that cells can look very different from one another, and the excitement was contagious as each group took its turn looking through the lenses!

The annual meeting items are voted on by the electors of the school district, meaning any adult member of our district. October has brought some beautiful weather to enjoy the outdoors, until Mrs. Ramel planned a visit to the park to check in with our trees! Thankfully, a little schedule adjustment allowed our students to make the trek there and back without getting rained on. ☔️
This month, students learned about Aldo Leopold and his contributions to Wisconsin, along with famous trees from across our state through the book If Trees Could Talk.
The following day, students returned to their own trees and wrote short stories from their tree’s perspective. From spooky Halloween tales and stories about this summer’s tornado to humorous takes on what their trees might say if they could talk, each student brought a unique perspective to life! ✍️
Learning, creativity, and a little time with our trees in the park make for a pretty great combination!
