The 2024 Highland Hall of Fame inductees include Jody Kosharek, Vanessa Breiwa-Shah, and the 2010 Volleyball State Champion Team. To accommodate more attendees at the Hall of Fame Banquet, we are switching the nights of our Hall of Fame banquet and Skit Night. The Homecoming coronation of the court, skits, and yell will be on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. in the high school gym. The Hall of Fame Banquet will be on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at Highland Schools. Please note the new location for the banquet this year. Highland Community Schools would like to invite the 1966 football team as our guests of honor, to our homecoming game on September 28th. The 1966 team was the last team to play 8-man football, before the change was made to 11-man football. We had an amazing time at Back to School night last night. Our favorite mascot came out to see the kids! As you can see, the kids, teachers and parents all enjoyed it. 😁 Thank you to our Highland Boosters/PTO (Nicole Welsh) for sharing these pictures with us!

Tonight is the night!! Back to School Night 🥳 Join us for our back-to-school (open house) night from 4:00-7:00 pm! This is a great opportunity for your student(s) to meet their teachers 👨🏽‍🏫👩🏾‍🏫, drop off school supplies ✏️🎒, and find their lockers before the first day of school. 🏫

Before we get started with a new school year, check out some more fun that the Highland Elementary students had. 🏫🍎🎒✏️ The students finished the summer session with the Highland Olympics! The students had an olympic committee, opening ceremony, parade of countries and events! The students learned about the olympic games, making projects and learning some cool facts about the olympics. The competition was fierce but we all had a great time at the Highland Summer Olympics! 📸Watch for more pictures coming shortly...

Highland Second Grade teacher Lisa Bowen, spent a week in Maine at Acadia National Park with Expeditions in Education. Mrs. Bowen collected animals and plants in a tidepool, collected crabs 🦀 for a citizen science project, and tested local water samples. Teachers from all over the country participated in activities and games that they can bring back to their classrooms. 🐚

Since the Olympic games are coming to an end, it is only fitting that we share some more photos from our Olympics week at summer school. They made Olympic torches during an arts and crafts time. This group represented France during our Olympic activities.

📣 There will be an Activities Meeting on Monday night, August 5, at 7:00 PM. All #hcscardinals in grades 6-12 interested in participating in athletics and/or organizations (Forensics/FFA, etc.) should plan to attend! Following the activities meeting, there will be a HS Volleyball Parent/Athlete meeting and a HS Football Parent/Athlete meeting as well.

Volleyball All-Star Game hosted by Barneveld High School! Highland's Lilly Michek and Brownyn Halverson have been nominated to play. The EAST vs. WEST game will take place at 6:30 pm. All proceeds from admissions will be donated to the UW Children's Hospital on behalf of the Six Rivers Conference.
