Duties: Assist student(s) with physical and health needs. This may involve lifting, toileting,
feeding, medicating, and assisting with special curriculum that includes physical therapy as well
as instruction.
Qualifications: Hold current DPI Special Education Program Aide license or be eligible to
obtain.

Highland Community Members,
In order to recognize our men and women who served our country, we would like to construct a veteran's memorial wall in our school building. Grant Hying, a 2020 graduate, as part of his senior exit project, designed this memorial with the mentorship of Highland Alum, Theresa Aide. We hope that this wall will be a constant reminder for all of our students currently and for years to come of the huge sacrifice all the men and women who served our country made and continue to make to keep our country free.
If you would like to donate to the construction of the wall please send a check payable to Highland Community Schools- Veterans Wall. Any donation toward this cause will be greatly appreciated.

The weight room will be opening for student use on Monday, July 6th! Students who are interested in working out are advised to CHECK YOUR EMAIL for details on how to gain access to use facilities. UW-Platteville asked us to share some summer learning opportunities. They are offering a wide variety of virtual summer classes (more details here: go.uwplatt.edu/youth-programs). Highland students are eligible for a limited number of scholarships to cover registration and fees. ATTENTION CARDINAL ATHLETICS FANS:
Last week, the WIAA shared its Guidance for Summer Activities as a living document that will change as conditions change. The document can be found on their website wiaawi.org. We encourage to you take a look. In addition, the Highland Athletic Staff continues to work with administration, the school board, the Department of Public Instruction, the Department of Health Services, the WIAA, and other local agencies to develop a plan to increase student participation in organized physical activities yet this summer. Our goal is to share more detailed information with families later this week. We will be looking for student and parent input at that time. The goal for possible summer contact is to allow students to participate in activities where it can be done safely. As always, any sessions are voluntary and will not be mandated. Highland Community Schools will be collecting all school issued materials next week Tuesday - Friday. This includes textbooks, technology, and any other school items you may have at home (library books, calculators, etc). Please note, we have designated drop off times; however, if you are unable to come during scheduled hours please contact Mr. Tarrell at jtarrell@highland.k12.wi.us to arrange a time that works for your family.
