Full-Time High School (9th-12th Grade) Science Teacher Position. 
Start Date: August 25, 2022 - First Professional Development Day
Many opportunities available for extra-curricular coaching and advisory positions


  • Preferred but not required licensure: Biology/Life Science (1605), Chemistry (1610), Physical Science (1637), Physics (1625), or Broad Field Science (1601).  

  • The District will work with the right candidate who possesses out-of-state licenses, or licenses in other curricular areas, to become properly licensed.


  • Understand and employ best practices in teaching high school youth.

  • Have a restorative focus when working with students on discipline.

  • Place a strong emphasis on building relationships with our educational partners (families, students, and the greater community) through frequent communication. 

  • Possess the ability to adjust instructional strategies in order to address students’ needs.

  • Ability to partner with the Student Services and Support Staff on supporting students in an inclusive setting. 

  • Above all else, have the lens of student-first decision-making.

Part-Time Cook

Cook Position

The Highland School District is currently looking for a part-time, school-year cook.   The start date would be late August 2022.

Qualifications:  Evidence of ability to work well with children.  DPI Food Service training and/or public food service experience is desirable.  Ability to lift and manipulate large cooking and serving trays up to 50 pounds.

Cross Categorical Aide
Aide Duties: Assist student(s) with educational, physical, and/or health needs. This could involve lifting, toileting, feeding, medicating, and assisting with any specialized curriculum or activities. 

Qualifications: Hold current DPI Special Education Program Aide license or be eligible to obtain.
