Description: Full-Time High School (9th-12th Grade) Science Teacher Position. Start Date: August 25, 2022 - First Professional Development Day Many opportunities are available for extra-curricular coaching and advisory positions.
Qualifications:
Preferred but not required licensure: Biology/Life Science (1605), Chemistry (1610), Physical Science (1637), Physics (1625), or Broad Field Science (1601).
The District will work with the right candidate who possesses out-of-state licenses, or licenses in other curricular areas, to become properly licensed.
Responsibilities:
Understand and employ best practices in teaching high school youth.
Have a restorative focus when working with students on discipline.
Place a strong emphasis on building relationships with our educational partners (families, students, and the greater community) through frequent communication.
Possess the ability to adjust instructional strategies in order to address students’ needs.
Ability to partner with the Student Services and Support Staff on supporting students in an inclusive setting.
Above all else, have the lens of student-first decision-making.
